CANADA DAY PIG ROAST

The people of my house and I are hosting a little backyard/ sideyard party on Canada Day.  I decided it would be a great idea to roast a whole pig over a fire pit (which I now need to enlarge) and feed everyone (there will be vegetarian options as well).  We also decided that we would charge $10 for food and give any profits to Wordfest’s Book buddies program which benefits at-risk youth.  I think it is going to be pretty powerful having a whole animal to cook - I am really looking forward to it.  I ordered the pig this morning from Allan Vanden Broek of Broek Pork Acres.  They raise their pigs naturally in pastures and have top notch product.  You can visit them at http://www.broekporkacres.com/.

Anyways, stop by!  Lets have a nice time.
