One of our favourite summer past-times is having our buds over to eat outdoors. The season in Calgary that allows for outdoor dining is short, so we try to maximize it with lots of impromptu group meals.  Last Sunday we invited our good pals Jenner and Ruby over for brunch. Brett prepared a roasted butternut squash hummus with lots of veggies for dipping, mushrooms on toast topped with a fried duck egg and crisp proscuitto, salmon gravlax with wild arugula, lemon zest and olive oil and a tomato salad with lots of wild arugula.
